Dredge Yards heavy duty dredge ball joint design is suitable for working up to 30 bar pressure. The entire assembly is hydraulic pressure tested up to 35 bar. Therefore we can ensure that the design is capable of withstanding the loads on the dredging site.
The ball joint tilts up to 15 degrees to each side. Grease fittings and groves in the gland provide grease for easy tilting. The ball has a conical type liner to minimize the flow resistance of the heavy duty dredge ball joint and increase the life time of the liner. The wear liners are made from hard cast iron. That maximizes the life time of the liner and minimize down time of the heavy duty dredge ball joint.
