Settling Pond dredging
Pond dredging and cleaning is a type of maintenance dredging. Over time, settling ponds, holding ponds and lagoons at industrial plants may accumulate sludge, silt and sediments. Consequently, accumulated materials reduce effectiveness and water storage capacity of the settling ponds. As a result, productivity and efficiency of the industrial plant is reduced. Regular pond dredging projects can ensure ongoing efficiency of the business.
Pond Dredging equipment
Pond dredging may involve petrochemical sludge, fly ash pond (produced by burning coal) or desliming ponds in mining operations. Dredging of a pond can be performed using cutter suction dredgers, when the materials have settled over a longer period of time and have become compact. For loser materials, or contaminants, Auger dredger ECO 200 can perform precise, low turbidity dredging. Both types of dredgers are compact, can be easily transported and operated in remote locations and ponds of varying sizes.
